"I am born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine. I studied at the Faculty of Journalism, but painted all my life. In 2017 I quit my job and started painting full time. In 2022, having a small child, I had to evacuate from the basement in Kyiv to Prague. Since then, I have been researching the concept of home, native place, and comfort, because it is impossible to live in my own home now. I use minimalistic media: paper and ballpoint pen. Evacuated person draws with what is in his backpack. After a year of evacuation, I add colors to my work. I also introduced the theme of the house to my son, because the language of the picture is often magical and fairytale. I also have many surreal portraits as a reflection of my own state: a woman, an artist, a mother, an emigrant. Because here in emigration I understood how strange and lonely I am. "

This is the best illustration of how child's imagination works. I do remember my childhood very well and my contact with my son is very strong. We dream, we talk and I draw together with him.

Working house:
Your house is a kind of space, where only your rules and make your own world materialistic. Your values, your boundaries, your tools. Sometimes you start to appreciate your home, to see all the layers of meaning in your home, when it suddenly becomes inaccessible to you. This is what happened to our apartment in the danger zone in Kyiv.

Motanka 2023: Motanka is a traditional Ukrainian guardian doll and ancient Ukrainian family talismans. It is the symbol of goodness in the Ukrainian tradition. We moved to Prague. So I felt my roots calling, to help and support my mind on this change. It works. I fell it. You can feel it too, if you will listen to your roots calling.
