"I am mo.na.re and I am currently living in the Czech Republic. The principle themes of my work are environmental destruction and the trauma that shapes human beings. Most of my pieces are black ink drawings and frequently contain apocalyptic imagery. Even my darkest work ultimately comes from a place of encouraging others to look critically at the world we live in with an eye to doing their best to shape and improve it for the better. I studied restoration at the School of Applied Art in Kremnica. I finished my studies at Trnava University, taking courses in Art Pedagogy and the Education of Fine Art.
I took part in a competition organised by UNICEF and also the 2002 Visa Olympic of the Imaginations. For the 2002 competition I traveled to the US to make an exhibition in Utah for the final stage. After my education I traveled for many years. Since then I've been teaching art in Prague. " |
